Need help cloning a dynamic disk.

Happy holidays,

 

Just got an SSD, but I need to clone my existing drive to a partition so I can slim it down and clone it over.  I foolishly converted my boot drive to a dynamic drive some time ago, and it's coming back to bite me as the free suite of Macrium Reflect doesn't work with it.

 

What I want to do is clone what I have on my drive now to a partition of an external hard drive, then remove enough stuff on my main drive so that I can clone it over to the SSD.  What's the best way to do that outside of Macrium?

Dude I am having the same problem. If you find a solution let me know. Clonezille told me it couldn't work with a dynamic disk. I hate this crap.

Instructions for frustration management:  

1) Sit at desk.   2) Repeatedly slam forehead against desk.

 

I never said I was smart, just smart enough to be dangerous.
