So i recently bought a ASUS gtx 970 graphics card and my pc started slowing down.. i have a Sentey extreme modular 550w power supply but i dont know if its running slow because it needs more power or i need more air flow ... i have AMD 6350 CPU,wd 1tb hard drive,an MSI 970 motherboard, 8gb of DDR3 ram.. idk whats wrong with it please help

1. Ensure no previous drivers for your old card are installed

2. Download malwarebytes give it a full scan and repair

3. Download Precision from the EVGA website

4. Download CPUZ

5. Run a game in window mode, run precision and cpuz, monitor your temperatures and speeds

6. Run task manager, see what processes are hogging cpu other than the game

 

5 & 6 should give you enough information to correct.

Thermal should not be a problem unless you are overclocking
