I am getting a new laptop as a gift and am having trouble finding the right one. Weight is not a big issue because it will mostly stay in one place. I will be using it for hamming and video editing.

The specs that are a must for me are

-i7 processer

-8 or more gigs of ram

-15 inch or bigger screen or bigger

-navida 960 or better

Yes

You should be building a PC, a $3000 laptop is nowhere as powerful as a $3000 desktop.

But if you still insist on a laptop,

A desktop with the exact same specs is much cheaper btw.
