Just wanted some second opinions on the build im planning to undergo, i have a little bit of spare cash and was wondering if i could in any way optimise it.

Cpu: Intel core i5-4460

Motherboard: Asrock B85M Pro3

Memory: Kingston Hyperx fury blue 8gb (2x4gb)

Video card: Asus Radeon r7 370 4gb

All the other stuff e.g. optical drive etc.

I've heard that the r9 380 would be a better option

Also - Do i need a 3rd party cooler?

Thanks LTT Community

He may as well try go for an R9 390 :P

No @Alzentix you don't need an aftermarket cooler.

Most 4GB R9 270s range around $170 where you can grab a 4GB R9 380 for around $200. Not really that drastic of a stretch whereas the 390 costs $130 more than a 4GB 380.

CPU: Intel Core i3 4370 (3.8GHz, 2C/4T) GPU: AMD R9 380X 4GB
