Hey guys,

My brother wants to upgrade or if recommend build a new pc. The max budget is around 200€.

If possible he would like to reuse some parts.

The current one has the following parts:

CPU: InteE8400 2*3 GHz Socket 775

GPU: Nvidia 9500GT

PSU: 400 Watt

RAM: 2*2 GB DDR2

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L

He already has a HDD and a SSD, so no need for this.

He wants to do audio recording with his system.

Thanks for you help.

xWanna

If you can reuse the case and PSU, then this build should be good for you. If not, then take out the GPU and it should still perform well (1080p video playback and streaming, browsing, audio recording, light gaming etc.).

The plan isn't gaming. He want to record audio. His current PC is too bad, so it creates lags in the audio. Would you still go to yours?

yes, the A-10 APU is more powerfull than the 5350

i would save some cash for an ssd,too

Ok, and for the GPU? Should he stick with the 9500GT or go with the recommened  XFX Radeon R7 360.

He already has a SSD and a HDD and he's fine with them. If he really needs a bigger one he'll upgrade later because he's short on money at the moment.

the APU has an integrated R7 250, so there is no need to buy an external, especially if he is not gaming.

The Problem is, that the system won't boot. We changed the PSU aswell.

The drives and the CPU fan are powered but it doesn't display anything.

Solved: Didn't put enough pressure on the CPU-Cooler.
