nVidia custom resolution

Your screen resolution is 1920x1080, Dual-link DVI allows 1920x1080 @ 165Hz, under 8-bit colors per channel (so 24-bit - 16.7 million colors).

If you can't go pass 65Hz, it's your monitor protection system that kicks in, to avoid burning the monitor circuit or monitor panel, or burning the LCD liquid due to over voltage.

The reason why people that get those Cheap Korean monitor, are able to go to high refresh rate, is because the panel is basically directly connected to DVI plug (hence why the only option the monitor has is 5 to 8 brightness level, with no on screen menu or anything). So there is not really any protection system, beside the one of the panel, which can be by-passed (some models allows you to do this), but that leads to burning the panel or LCD liquid, due to overvoltage.

Ops my mistake... sorry. I am able to get 75Hz but then it gets wired. When I move my mouse a little it does something like this ___ _____ ____. It's kinda hard for me to explain but it skips some areas and just jumps. Arghh can't explain better than that I hope you can understand me :D

Thanks for the quick reply btw.

Yea, I know what you mean. I experimented on this. Your monitor just can't do it. The graphic card is feeding too much info for the monitor internal circuitry to process.

What drivers allow this? I'm curious because i want to try it out' date=' but don't know which driver this is supported in [/quote']

This is for all GPU's. Nothing new. The GeForce Titan just makes it easier for you to set it.

Open the Nvidia Control Panel, then on the left side column, go under Change resolution , then click on the Customize button.

A panel will show, click at the bottom: Create Custom resolution, then you'll see the a License agreement saying that what you are doing may damage the monitor, and Nvidia is not responsible. Once you Agree to it, you'll get another panel, where you set your resolution, and refresh rate, as well as (if you know what you are doing, but I suggest to leave things as default) timing. Click on Test when you are done. This will test the resolution, if it works, it applies it.
