The RM series as of recent has gotten a lot better.

As for the build, 750W will suffice if you're putting in just one 980 Ti, but a second one will require a bit more juice. An 850W to 1000W power supply might be more ideal in that instance.

I think the Corsair RM series psu have bad secondary capacitors. I would recomend a EVGA superNOVA G2 850W for SLI :)

Only the first batch did, they changed them for the 2nd and 3rd batches.  People underestimate chinese capacitors.

It is decent though overpriced.

Go for like a EVGA GS, G2 or GQ series. 850w IF you plan on SLI

An 850W PSU would be recommended.

 

Either the G2 or the RM850x.

 

From my experience, I have 3 G2 so far suffer from ball bearing noise when the fans are spinning. Although EVGA told me it's rare to get units like this.

I have also gotten 1 RM750x which has an audible, but minor coil whine. I got a replacement arriving this monday, will see if that's fine.

EVGA G2 or GS are far superior at a lower price
