Using my PC as a passtrough

Hello guys,

my parents got a Samsung SMT C7200 Reciever on which they record some TV shows. Now they want to save these to a USB Harddrive or something similar.

The reciever does not support this, so i want to connect it to my PC via HDMI and than record the signal that passes through my PC.

Is this possible?

I´ve got a GTX 770 Direct CUII and an Intel 2500K on an Asrock Z77 Extreme 4m Board.

Thanks in advance and merry X-Mas!

My System: AsRock Z77 Extreme4-m, Intel Core i5 2500K @4 Ghz, 8 GB of RAM, ASUS GTX 970(4GB)

1 TB of SSD Storage, BeQuiet Pure Power 730W PSU - All stuffed in a Corsair Obsidian 350D

You need a capture card, but that not always works if the receiver is smart and it's somewhat illegal too.

OK thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. I moved and my ISP fucked it up to provide me with Internet....
