SSD os transfer. EASY STEPS PLEASE

I got a SSD for christmas, and I want to know how to move my os across from my hard drive?  

 

1. When I move it across will I need to enter my windows product key?

No you shouldn't have to, but if you are still skeptical you can write down your OS key before you begin. Find your OS key using this piece of software:

You won't have to. I've moved my OS back and forth several times, it's just like starting it up normally

Thanks! basically its this 

1. Back my hardrive up

2. Plug in my SSD

3. Use a migration tool 

4 restart and then done?

Yep, the SSD should automatically change to the C: drive meaning all your file directories etc will be exactly the same! Enjoy!
