SSD os transfer. EASY STEPS PLEASE

I got a SSD for christmas, and I want to know how to move my os across from my hard drive?  

 

1. When I move it across will I need to enter my windows product key?

When my os is onto the ssd from the harddrive do I need to re-enter my windows key or not?

You won't have to. I've moved my OS back and forth several times, it's just like starting it up normally :)

Thanks! basically its this 

1. Back my hardrive up

2. Plug in my SSD

3. Use a migration tool 

4 restart and then done?

Yep, the SSD should automatically change to the C: drive meaning all your file directories etc will be exactly the same! Enjoy!
