So I've been thinking about upgrading, but after discussions and looking online, its pointless. No matter what monitor I'm suggested apparently I need to adjust colours which I don't know how to do, all the good 144hz ones I've been recommended apparently have massive screen tearing and stuttering at sub 144fps. Which will be all the time because I play on ultra. My current monitor is only 21.5 inch but it works fine and looks perfectly adequate, so why should I shell out money for something that is pointless and doesn't work?

144 Hz to 60 FPS is night and day once you use it.

Haven't had any tearing issues with my VG248QE

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

I said that my PC COULDN'T run them at 144. I play on ultra, so get between 40 and 80 fps.

then I would suggest upgrading your PC before you get a 144hz monitor. If your playing at around 80 FPS it will be a waste of money.

I dont play anything intense at the moment, (will play more fo4 as mods are released), but  i am looking to pick up the witcher 3 and some other games.

well with medium setting you should get around the 80-100 fps mark, in fact I have the same exact setup, same GPU and CPU
