Fan recommendations.

Go to solution Solved by W-L,

I've had a look at the Noctua fans but I couldn't decide on the best ones for the job(s), any thoughts on which ones I should pick up?

The corsair ones seem to be decently loud to me but that may just be my ears. :) Also I've looked at the Silent Wigs 2 however, £20 per fan seems a tad too much for me and upon revision of my budget, I think £15 per fan is the limit.

For pressure based fans the NF-F12 are the best option, those are best suited for rads, heatsinks, heavily filtered intakes or drive cages. for airflow NF-S12A is good and a comprise between the two with still decent pressure is the NF-P12.

Hey guys. I'm currently looking into making my pc quieter as at the moment it's right next to me on top of my desk. I currently have 6 fans in the case:

Case: NZXT H440

4 FN V2 120mm - 3 in the front of the case / 1 in the back.

2 Corsair SP120L High Performance Fans - Both on the radiator in the top of the case.

I believe I'll need 2 static pressure fans for the radiator and 4 air flow fans for the case both preferably need to be pretty quiet due to my proximity to the computer. All recommendations are greatly appreciated and overall there isn't really a budget but don't go too crazy. :)

Thanks in advance!

:)

If your changing things I would change out all the fans especially the Corsair Performance Edition fans, they not what I would call silent even when turned all the way down they are audible. Something like Fractal Desing Venturi's are good, if your budget allows for it things like Noctua's, EK Vardars, or GT are also some options.

The Corsair fans shouldn't be too loud. I have two of them installed myself and I don't hear them. But they're also running at a lower RPM.

For the case fans I recommend be Quiet Silent Wings 2. They offer a great mix between pressure and airflow, while beeing almost silent and I think they look nice.

But they're also a bit more on the expensive side of things.

Aren't Vardars extremely loud? I would rather use Scythe Gentle Typhoons for the radiator.
