So i have this PSU:

http://www.lc-power.com/index.php?id=168&L=1

I had it for a little over a month and a bit more than a week ago i started noticing a strange sound coming from my PC, so i checked everything and from what i can tell the PSU is making the noise, even replaced the PSU with a backup one and the sound vanished.

The sound is like buzzing, sort of comparable to the old fridges, just a lot quieter, mostly i hear it while i don't have my headset on or when i try and go to sleep.

I can RMA it and will do so after the holidays, but for now i want to ask here what it could be? I mean from what i googled the only thing that comes to mind would be a vibrating capacitor.

RMAs are not usually accepted with coil whine but you can try.

Also, inb4 people tell you that's a bad PSU.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

To be fair, that does look a little odd.

I mean, blue enclosure, unusual socket type for modular connection......I'm sure it's a pretty decent unit, but it looks weird.

I've always had LC Power PSUs and never had issues, this was the first one.

It's not coil whine, i've had coil whine before and it's waaaay different, this is either the fan (it's a bit wobbly) or a capacitor.

but yeah, will RMA it, just wanted to ask here if anyone had a general idea, thanks and happy holidays :)
