Well I was thinking about how my window mod did well but now you see my horrendous motherboard...I was thinking of getting a modular psu to sleeve the cables and possibly set up a custom loop but that motherboard will always be seen and ruin it. Is there something I can do to hide it?

You can sleeve a non modular power supply. I think its actually easier.

Really? I heard it was awful. I also heard a kid dying when he was tampering around with the insides so I thought I might play it safe. :P

But, I think I may need a little more juice if I want to watercool, right?

Spray paint the motherboard.

No, I am not kidding. Yes, you can get paint in the PCI-e slots. When you re-insert your cards, it will knock the paint off the connectors. Then just remove them, shake the paint flakes out, and re-insert again.

People have done it before. Your thermals might go up by 1-3C for the motherboard, but it is a motherboard. It should be fine.

Just do not get paint in fan bearings. That is the only thing you should be wary of. Paint is non-conductive.

If you want to overclock as well, sure you might. :) As long as you take your precautions sleeving a non modular power supply is harmless and really not THAT hard.

You dont need to break into the housing. Trust me. I'll post pictures later today to show you what I mean.

That kid was messing around INSIDE the power supply. Bad idea.

Yeah the breaking into the housing and widening the hole for your cables to come out of is a pain though, but not having to worry about exacting measurements where you cut off your sleeving is always nice :)

The easiest way is to sleeve all the way to the hole, get as close as you can, ziptie or super glue them in place then throw a big sized heatshrink tube over all of them

Where's my pictures? :D

If you don't discharge a psu properly it can be dangerous, if you have a brain it's quite simple to do :)

And a pump and few extra fans won't warrant a ton more wattage unless your going to be overclocking a ton more once watercooled :)

Hmm I guess I'll have to look into the watercooling more. I have a 620W right now with a 4670k and a 7950. I have the 7950 overclocked a little and I plan on overclocking the CPU more when I get a custom loop going.

Overall, I was more concerned about the brown pcb on my motherboard at the moment. I thought I could sleeve a non-modular power supply but it would be more of a pain as there are a TON of cables I don't use so I'd be wasting time and money to do those too. I just want a way for the brown pcb to not show up. I guess I can look into painting it, but I'd be a little nervous about doing that.

red or blue would make the motherboard look different

also purple possibly

or green

but white is kind of dumb if you hate your mobo

Have you considered making your board more interesting with uv reactive pens and drawing designed on the pcb, then putting a uv cold cathode in the case?

Sleeving will take around a days time modular or not.

The frayed sleeving wont be noticeable at the end. Plus Lutro0's stiffline doesnt fray nearly as bad as cheap sleeving. Trust me. Its pure gold.

That was just to showcase what you can do with it but its certainly something I think will be fun to play with, though it could easily detract from the loop if not planned out correctly.
