I couldn't tell you why but GTA V is lagging so badly.

RAM? 16GB - Check

VRAM? 2GB - Check

CPU? Core i5 Haswell - Check

GPU? GTX 770 @ 1050MHz- Check

OS? Windows 10 - Check

Internet speed? 900Mb/s Up and Down - Check

GPU Drivers? WHQL 359.06  - Check

How do i fix this?

What settings specifically should i run at?

i want 1080p with at least 2x MSAA.

-lot of stuff-

Here, do a test for me. start the game and run it in windowed mode, and run it at a low resolution(so that you can see things other than the game). Close the game after saving the new settings, then open Task Manager. With Task manager on the screen, put it off to the side to where you can still see it even with the game running. Now launch the game and see what your CPU usage does.

If your CPU usage is pegged at 100% no matter what, then you have the same bug I had, if not then IDK.

Yup 100% as soon as i load up GTA and the Rockstar logo shows. But's that not it.

and when the game is running its pegged at 100% right? Because the CPU shouldn't be pegged is the point I am trying to make. Sadly when this happened to me, I fixed it by switching to Radeon, and I haven't had the same bug happen to me with either brand of cards since. If you are on a old GPU driver I would use DDU to uninstall it and install a current version, or install a older version if you are on the current driver already. For shits and giggles you can try adjusting the PhysX settings(from GPU only or auto, to CPU only), even though GTA doesn't support PhysX, some people have reported performance issues with it enabled, and that is the one thing I changed with my setup(I had PhysX set to GPU only, but on a very similar machine I set it to CPU and have no problems).
