Building my first Computer.. is this pc good?

Hello LinusTechForums!

Im a first time pc builder, I just built a pc on pcpartpicker and was looking to see if it was good.

The games i will be playing are Rust, Ark Survival Envolved, and Arma III

The resolution i want to play on is 1080p. Im looking to get 65+ fps.

Also, is it hard to build a computer? Im nervous and anxious to do it and then fail...

PC is http://pcpartpicker.com/p/98dy6h

Please send feedback...

Budget is 1600$ max

Thanks for reading bye!!

1.) Nvidia's driver support in Windows 10 is quite bad. I would recommend AMD for graphics right now.

2.) Get a cheaper case, and fit an SSD into that budget! The performance increase is worth it.

For such an expensive build, I see absolutely no reason to not buy an SSD. Even the WD Blue drives really shouldn't be considered for a build that's gonna cost around 1500 bucks. If this is strictly for gaming, do yourself a favor and buy a 4690k, get an SSD like an 850 Evo, and maybe get a slightly lower wattage psu if you don't plan on going SLI any time soon.

6600k is not worth it for $100 more than a 4690k + DDR4 prices. The S340 has a terrible paint finish, too.

Exactly what I said. I didn't stutter!

Just check the Nvidia Geforce forums to see what I am talking about!

I am still using driver 353.82 because at least that shit runs fairly stable for my GTX 960!

I think maybe the only thing to change would be going with a slightly cheaper psu and using that money to buy an HDD for storage. I for one can personally attest to the fact that 256 gigs is not enough for normal usage. I only have 5 games,10 or so movies, and a average amount of programs and pictures/files running on my 850 Evo 500 gig, and I'm definitely using more than what a 256 gig drive would offer.

He can upgrade later. That PSU is the best for the cash.
