I am soon going to purchase parts for a new PC of which i have been saving up for a while, however i am not sure if the build i have is a good build and if i should make any substitutions for the £700 - £800 budget that i have, i have already bought the case and the RAM on the list but i am just confused on everything else as the videos that i watch to help me understand just seem to confuse me more!

Here is the link to my PC build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/QGg94D

Any help and advice would be much appreciated and sooner the better if possible, Thank you.

Oh yeah, move the PSU to a better brand like EVGA, Seasonic, or XFX or change it to an RM or RMi series. Also bump it up to 600W if you take the 390

Here you go!

Best for the money!

The reason I put the single stick is for later easy upgrade. So that you don't have to sell 2x4GB.

So that last build would be the better choice than the one i had decided to go with, also i've always been told that the GTX 970 is the best Video card for the price that it is, is that incorrect?

(Also thank you all for replying so fast!:) )

Change the PSU. Change the GPU to a 390 unless you really like NVIDIA extras. Unless you have a very specific use in mind, don't get the soundcard, CD drive or network adapter. With the money, consider an i7 or an overclockable i5 and mobo.

If you make a post contradicting mine that doesn't directly address my claims, or cites 'facts' without evidence, I'm probably not going to bother responding to it, because you probably didn't bother reading my post properly, and because life is too short. It doesn't mean I don't have an answer for you. It means I'm not dignifying you with a response.

Would it matter too much if i don't get the overclockable stuff, as i am not confident in overclocking :/

It's not a big deal if you don't want to, but some genres do like the cpu more than others. If you play fps then no worries, but if you like lots of strategy games then consider an i7. If not then maybe get an 850 evo with more space, or save the money for pizza and beer.

Should i get the i5-4690K if i am all for doing multiple things at once such as playing quite demanding video games as well as searching the internet, or just quite demanding strategy games, and if i were to implement this processor to the build that Kamesh recommended would you guys say it is worth it? Or not?

Thank you.
