In my experience when comparing the same gpu (in this case 980ti) the only meaningful difference is the cooler and warranty. Beyond that it's pure luck if you get a good chip or not.

I have always heard EVGA has some of the best warranty services out there. Hopefully I'm remembering the brand right.

 

Alright, did a little backlogging, and it seems they are one of the few that don't void for water cooling and they do have pretty decent warranty services.
