So I'm upgrading a pee build system. The motherboard requires a 2 by 2 cpu power from the power supply and I got the corsair cx600m which has a 2 by 4 CPU plug for the mother board how do I go about fixing this issue

The connector should split into 2x 4 pin CPU power cables. Just pull it apart at the center.

Just a note: If it doesn't split, you are probably trying to use the 8x PCIe connector instead. :P

I think the PCIe connector is slightly different from the eps connector, but if you have a non-splitable eps connector, you can have either half hanging off the end and it'll be fine.
