t420 overheating under load

so i decided to have a nostalgia trip and play some runescape last night (instead of looking at my grades) and i noticed how hot the air coming out of my laptop was.

i was concerned so i pulled up hardware monitor and my cpu was at 95 degrees and throttling back. the igpu had droped from 900mhz to 600 and the cpu was running at 2.0ghz

i was very worried so i ran some tests. the cpu throttles after about 5 minitues of load. i replaced the stock thermal paste with some artic silver a while ago when i was cleaning it.

i was wondering if i could use the cool labs thermal liquid with it to drop the temperatures. or if a beefed up heat sync existed for laptops like mine that i could buy.

Dispite the age of the game Runescape (EOC) is quite a demanding game for older systems. You could buy a cooling pad for your laptop?

ps- I used to play for years and quit when I was comp caped for about a year (got boring and the stupid paid in game customization's ruined the game)

i know EOC is quite demanding on my poor sandybridge laptop i5 and preformance isnt bad before it throttles. but i dont like my laptop running that hot. i use it alot for some intensive tasks like a gaming lan box since i have an external gpu system for it.

i want to avoid a cooling pad since that make the laptop less portable.
