Video Editing

GSTARR

So I'm going to start learning -on my own- how to edit videos, overlay music and interjecting different scenes of whatever I feel like that sort of thing.

But I need a program to start, and I know all of you who do this regularly hate this question, but if y'all know an application that will allow me to experiment a little and decide whether I want to upgrade to something like After Effects that would be amazing

Shipping sucks

Well, no widely used editing software is cheap though.  Maybe Vegas Pro, and Premiere Pro, some older versions are a one-off purchase.
