The only reasonable upgrade would be FX-8320/8350 but you're basically adding one module with higher clocks to your current 6300. If the 6300 is not enough, just grab an i5.

absolute best is the 9590 but that's frankly more trouble than it's worth (plus it's bassically an 8320 binned for 5GHz OCs). (not all motherboards support it, and those that don't can catch fire, due to the ridiculous power draw and heat output)

Cost of the upgrade isn't worth your performance gains. FX 8350 is a good chip, but you aren't getting a huge difference over a 6300. I'd say wait for Zen/AM4 or get a i5.

i reccomend selling your FX6300 and AM3 motherbnoard and grabbing an H81 motherboard and a I5 4460. should be doable with a little bit of cash thrown in there!

-snip-

little bit OT here, tough where do you recon the 380X will be in the row of GPU's in your signature?

probably between the 380 and 970 as it's mainly based on raw power (and the principle that you buy the most powerful GPU your budget allows)

may as well add it in now actually.

FX 8350 easy overclock to 4.5 ghz on air cooling and dirt cheap. The Only drawback that its is relativily power hungry and get a decent cooler like CM hyper 212 or something like that.
