The ohm thing is like black jack. You can go with an amplifier made for less but it won't be as good in terms of loudness and sound quality. And the less it is, the worse it gets. Your best bet would be 8 Ohms per channel exactly and going over risks blowing the amplifier and probably the speakers too. If you get a more powerful amplifier, you can still drive the speakers, just not at max for very long.

im only using a single speaker so a single 8 ohm amp would be good enough ? Do you know what type of resistors and stuff id need?

The fact that it is 8 ohms doesn't really matter at all. Most amplifiers will drive a 4-8 ohm speaker without issue, bar extremely cheap rubbish. Also do you actually intend to make the amplifier or just acquire a cheap good second hand one?

you know i dont mean those guitar amps correct but something like this  http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Tough-Bluetooth-Speaker/    . oh alright so what would you recommend me to do ?

Do you want to run it as is in it's current box or modify it? If you just want to get it going then a second hand amp/pre-amp, known as an integrated amp, will be the quickest and easiest. Pre-amp is for volume control and multiple input sources etc. Something around the 50W-200W will do the job.

As for the speaker in your picture, it looks rather shot. Best to actually find a way to test it.

the speaker works fine on a ht system, but wouldn't i be able to just make an 8 ohm amp to connect to the speaker and just use it away cus buying an amp costs a bit more haha xD

OK cool. Depends on whats available in your area, there is some really good stuff you can buy at very low cost. But yea sure if you want make an amp go for it, made a few myself. Great skill to learn. Also just be aware an amp by itself doesn't have volume control so either the source needs to have it or you will also need to make a pre-amp. The cost is also higher than you would expect after all the extras like a metal/plastic box to house the amp, speaker terminals, input terminals etc etc.

It's sort of hard to beat things like these:
