Hi all,

I'm about to come to some money and wanted to buy a graphics card to upgrade my system, I'm currently running a gigabyte 660.

I will definitely be able to afford the £190 for this gigabyte G1 gaming 4gb 960:

How ever I may be able to afford the £275 gigabyte G1 gaming 4gb 970:

I was just wondering in terms of performance is the extra £85? If not there is things I wanted to spent that money on.

Thanks in advance for replies  :)

You should try aim for the 970 as the performance boost between 960 and 970 is pretty major. Or you could go for AMD like me, might get the 380x, shares the performance of both 970 and 960.

Thanks for all the feedback. I wanted to stick with team green on this though  :P. Haha but yeah I think I will aim for the 970 if possible. :) I'm currently playing just cause 3 and GTA V as well as a couple newly released games.

You'll need a 970 for those games if you want to play on higher settings

Its worth the jump in price to get the 970 for a couple of reasons.

1. You can add another 970 in the future for SLI.

2. The 970 is MUCH faster and you will be able to play games on higher settings at a higher frame rate.

Unless you just play minecraft and League of Legends the 970 is the way to go if at all possible.
