CINEMA 4k? does it really work as it should?

Tadziunia

I have LG G4 and am unhappy because LG G4 has low bitrate 4k video recording ability. It takes only 30mbps bitrate videos. No 60fps FULL HD video recording. Very low 720p 120fps video quality. I downloaded CINEMA 4K and it let's me to increase bitrate up to 160mb/s , I took video and windows tells me that it's 160mbps video and size of that video is much much larger compared to stock. But i don't see almost any difference in visuals. Maybe it because am only watching video at FULL hd. But it's freaking mobile phone it can't be compared to some pro cam. Maybe am doing something wrong ? maybe it really records in that bitrate, how to see difference ?

Oh boy, another one is born every day I guess.

Increasing the bit rate of a video doesn't mean it improves the visual quality.  Higher bit rate simply means that there are more data to work with during post production.  There is not much visual difference between a 100Mbps video and a 500Mbps video straight out of a professional camera that uses the same lens and sensor.

Just because something is higher bitrate does not necessarily mean its going to be better quality visually

If I record video on my full frame Sony A7 at 28mbps, then on a Ninja Blade 2 at 220mbps, side by side the files look the same, its just that in premier and speedgrade I have a lot more information to play with in editing

Its a bit like JPEG vs RAW - they would look similar coming out the camera, but the RAW gives more editing headroom

Do you have a sample of your video?

I cannot say if its good or bad since I have not seen it
