CPU temperatures problem

LesYrc
Go to solution Solved by Benji_w,

On AMD systems, the "TMPIN0" temperature reading is usually the more accurate reading for the CPU. Depending on the motherboard it will actually read "CPU" instead of "TMPIN0."

At least, from my experience with two AMD ASUS ROG boards (890FX Crosshair IV Formula + 990FX Crosshair V Formula), it shows the readings as "CPU," and it matches the reading from within the BIOS.

I have images for my A6-3670K as well...but I need to find out where I uploaded them to...

FX don't read temps the same way as FM chips do.

it was not everything on the same time. I' ve tested all on their own and its the same thing.

You need to download the AMD stuff to work out your correct temps.

Hello, I am having a problem with my CPU and its temperatures. Basically whatever program I use to monitor my temperatures it won't show at CPU or it will show as a random number like 6 degrees C or 18, and usually 0*C in Open Hardware Monitor. On CPUiD HW Monitor the temperature just flactuates between 40 and 70+(even 91 as you can see) in one second to another and im pretty sure it cant get that hot and that cool in a matter of seconds. On other programs I have tried the teperature just doesnt show at all or the application says it cannot support.

Also in BIOS the cpu temp is showing 38.

My configuration is:

Gigabyte F2A88XM-DS2 Motherboard

AMD Athlon x4 760k with Thermaltake Contac 21 cooler.

Gigabyte 460GTX 1GB video card slightly overclocked.

8GB DDR3 1600mhz RAM

Can someone help me solve this problem? Thank you.

Running multiple temperature sensing programs at the same time can cause funny readouts.
