I'm between these three builds, mostly similar but different in terms of motherboard, cooler, and GPU.

Main focus is trying to lower the price down, but I do have some notes and restrictions.

Don't change the peripherals, case, or OS.

I prefer quad channel memory but I'm refusing to buy sticks of 4GB RAM so 8GB sticks only, unless you can prove a solid point why I should go 4GB sticks.

SLI isn't required, however I will consider it after 2-3 years with just one GPU.

I'm buying this PC and not planning to upgrade or add anything to it until I've used it for 2-3 years, with exception of adding a Wi-Fi network adapter later.

Color scheme does apply, black/white, or black/red, or black/blue scheme. I'm paying for overall look of the PC as well (might have some exceptions).

I don't mind noise as long as it's not freakishly loud and annoying (I live with a squealing parrot in my room so my patience is like lvl 100 lol).

This PC will be used mostly for gaming (on 21:9 2560x1080 display) as well as workstation/editing.

My desk space is about 34" by 16.5" the PC will be under the desk with just peripherals on top if that's a need-to-know.

Questions:

I'm arguing if Gigabyte's 980 Ti would be better than EVGA 980 Ti SC+. I don't pay much mind to noise, I will overclock here and there but only when I need to. I just want the card that will give me best performance in terms of FPS and handles 2560x1080p games. Not all games support the 21:9 ratio so full HD is fine as well. I chose 980 Ti because of workstation capabilities so I know it' overkill for 1080p gaming.

unless you are an extreme editor or something 16gb is enough

and the EVGA version should perform better in games(slight difference thought) and is a better brand to buy from on the Nvidia side compared to Gigabyte.

I know you said to not change the case, but you might want to look into a bigger case with more expandability. I know the S340 is so good looking, but for this build it might not be as upgradable as you would like.

16GB is enough for now.. you can get more down the track if you need them. Maybe look at MSI which is also a great option as well EVGA.

I'm assuming you mean MSI's 980 Ti, which I've looked at and heard it gets hot.... quick and not too fond of that. I may consider it but right now it's between Gigabyte and EVGA.

The only thing I'm upgrading would be RAM if I downgraded to 16GB, possibly replacing the cooler, and may throw a second GPU. Not a big fan of larger towers.

It doesn't get hot at all... it runs around 70-80 degrees and i can hardly hear the fan...  If you look at review below it runs cooler than EVGA but gigabyte does have lower temp but with the cost of the noise....

Well you don't have the desk space for 4k 40" I suppose, 27" 4k will have to do

Better place to get the display for $100 less
