Adding 1 more gpu Help

silosmith

Hi I am thinking about adding 1 more gpu to my r9 295x2 but I am not sure how the ram on the new card should be and I am thinking of getting the 8gb 390x. Does it matter if the card is 4 gb or 8 gb? I ask because of the whole thing of only being able to use only 4 gb of 8gb when in crossfire. I am not 100% sure how the ram would work if I crossfire it with my 295x2 . If 8gb does not matter I can just fall back and get a 290x 4 gb or something.   And would 1300W psu be enough?    I use 3 monitors one 4k monitor.    Thanks for any help.

So you already have an R9 295x2?  I wouldn't get another one because you'd be doing a 4 way crossfire and the micro stuttering would be really bad and the amount of heat that those cards would be putting off would be really high.

cant crossfire different crds

if your on windows 7, it will let you use the display outputs on the new card, newer windows deactivates older cards

just use the 295 or ship it to me so i can put it to good use
