Hey guys, so I purchased a modmic to go with my ATH M50X headphones, and i have to say it hasnt been pleasant. Firstly, when i plugged the cable into my PC, it was giving a lot of static. I quickly found that the best fix for that was to purchase a USB soundcard and that did quickly fix the static, however now I have what sounds like a helicopter flying in the distance every now and then and my friends and I are quite fed up with it. I live in Canada and bought the modmic for around $75 so its not really making me happy right now. So my question to you guys is; How can i fix this? Or should i just fricken return the darn thing because its not helping me whatsoever.

thanks for the help.

Skype, however I have tried using others such as teamspeak, as well as doing a voice recording and I can hear it in all of them

turn off all automatic controls on the mic and manually set the volume

Linux "nerd".  If I helped you please like my post and maybe add me as a friend :)  ^_^!
