Sapphire R9 390 Question

Go to solution Solved by App4that,

Ok, thanks. But just to make sure, for the moment my psu is fine for a r9 390?

Since I still need a new monitor.

Yes, but it's not the safest option. It has enough wattage, just happens to be made of shit.

sry wrong thread ;)

You are forgiven.

I'm just going to give you a heads up before the Corsair Army storms in; CX, stay away from them for high end rigs, such as yours. It may only be small, but it does havea an 8-Core toaster oven included.

Maybe change your PSU.. CX series are shit. Choose from tier 1 to 3 on this list: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/406160-psu-ranking-and-tiers/

6* core toaster oven.

That's a pretty bad PSU for the pricing and particular build

I already have the PC (Had it for a couple of years now). Is it really worth changing? If so how much would a better one cost.

No, it's hyperthreaded! No, 3 of those cores aren't real! No, It's only dual-core, actually!

It doesn't matter what the specifications are, I just know from experience that it's a toaster oven.

Next chance you get, go for it. EVGA is my recommendation.

If warranty is still good I would probably keep it because it's CXM which is slightly not as bad

Ok, thank you all. I think I will upgrade my psu after my monitor, so it will have to do for a little bit longer :P.

I'd would do the same, but I also wouldn't go crazy on the overclocking. Which really isn't needed with a 390 anyway.

Good Luck! :D
