So, I decided to upgrade my PC with an R9 380x and was wondering if a 550w PSU could handle it. My CPU is i5-4460.

550W is double what you'll ever be using but the "how good" factor relies upon which PSU it is. Is it an EVGA G2/GS like I hope it is?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

What would be the lowest possible wattage for this?

With overclocks on the card you're looking at a total of maybe 260W of electricity being drawn from the PSU. However, don't go cheapening out on a PSU. Fireworks aren't as cool when they're under your roof.

This is a good feature to tell you what power supply you should get.

PSU calculators are random bullshit generators. I have had 5 tell me numbers ranging from 400W to 700W for a single 280 that uses 200W by itself - my whole system needs 350W at most
