Monitors: best out of 7 , your opinion needed

cluelessgenius

hey guys,

sooo... my buddys monitor broke down and he asked me for a recommendation for a new one. budget is around 150-200 euro.

i already narrowed it down to 7 and would like to determine the best of them. but if you think theres an even better one out there. feel free to suggest it.

thanks.

Dell Professional P2416D as it is the only 1440p monitor there.

We don't know if his friend's rig can run 1440p.

While an adapter is cheap, the only ones with HDMI inputs are Acer G7 G247HYLbid, LG Electronics 24MP67VQ-P and Samsung S24E650PL

why is hdmi so important?

Because his card only has 2x DVI and 1x mini-HDMI, Like I said HDMI to Display Port adapters are cheap but a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable would be easier and  slightly cheaper. And your friend's system will hardly capture all benefits of Displayport.

The Acer bidx and the Dell are the best.

i had the acer bidx last month and returned it asap. holy sh*t it had some of the worst view angles in ips panels history.i went with it because it was on a deal and it had 4ms response time.

+ terrible backlight bleeding and ips glow. i had to look at it exactly centered to not see a colorshift in the lower right corner. nothing unusual, just a cheap panel.

so OP expect these things from all of the 7 monitors. all have cheap ips panels

i recommend this iiyama with amva panel http://geizhals.de/iiyama-prolite-x2483hsu-b1-a997077.html

3000:1 contrast,4ms,no ips glow.backlight bleed...well thats hit or miss

edit: heres what i`m talking about. this was the acer
