What is bottlenecking my system?

NevFTW

Hello,

as the title already says, I'm trying to find out which component slows down my gaming experience. While playing Just Cause 3, I could barely reach over 30fps while running at 1080p with most of the settings on medium or low/off. I know my CPU is outdated but I want to be sure if an upgrade would be worth it or if something else is even worse in my system.

My System:

CPU: AMD FX 6100 (overclocked to 3.9GHz)

GPU: Gigabyte G1 Geforce GTX 960 2GB

RAM: HyperX 8GB 1600MHz DDR3

Hard Drive: SanDisk 129gb SSD (game was running on this drive)

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97

I attached a picture showing my system while playing the game for about 15 minutes. Maybe it will help someone. (The 61fps maximum was never achieved in game, only when i was in the menu and the average of 35fps is only that high because I was in the menu for a few minutes afterwards. Real gaming was always between 15 and 30.)

If someone could tell me which components are the weak spot or could even give me an upgrade suggestion I would be very thankful.

Thank you

Probably your CPU. You'd be better off switching to the Intel platform. Even an i3 would be better for you at this point.

Probably not

Sorry I have no idea how to find a bottleneck I thought I'll try :)

Did you look at the maximum CPU thread usage? I didn't look at it until just now
