Can't Install Android Studio

Go to solution Solved by Volbet,

Due to 4Chan this is going to sound like I'm fucking with you, but try pointing it to the Java.exe file that is located in you System32 folder.

Atleast, that is what Android Studio wanted when I installed it.

Hi,

I've only gotten this far into the install and I've pretty much run out of ideas as to how to get Android Studio to install. The version of the JDK I've installed is "1.7.0_79" so it meets the version 1.7 requirement, Any one got any ideas?

The parent directory for "bin\java.exe" shoud be "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7" right? That was the first thing I've tried and it gave me the same error.

Sweet thanks, that worked! So weird that it would want the one in the System 32 folder when the Java installer installed in Program Files.

Well it looks like you solved it but in your C:\Program Files\Java folder there should be a folder called jdk7 I think, but that doesn't really matter since you solved it anyways.

Here's mine.

I also had that package installed and it still gave that error if I selected that directory. Weird.
