HZ over hdmi to dvi

Go to solution Solved by Glenwing,

The overclock would fail if they weren't capable.

ok so i just overclocked my monitors to 69 and 72 hz but i want to make sure im actually getting the performance increase.

Im using dvi to hdmi converter cables for the inputs  (no display port on either monitor

Main monitor 69 hz.  Hdmi in the monitor, dvi coming from the pc.

Second monitor 72hz.  Vice versa from above input

using a gtx 660 ti.  probably going to get a 970 soon.

Main question is are these inputs capable of putting out more than 60hz

thanks in advance for any help

What resolution is your monitor? At 1080p, both HDMI And Dual Link DVI can output at more than 60FPS, with Dual Link DVI capable of 144FPS.
