Okay. But will 4GB instead of 2 even have an effect then?

If the 950m can't even use 4GB then i'd rather have a more powerful cpu?

The GPU can use them but I'd go for the i7 honestly

Two laptops,

 

1 has Core i7-4720HQ and GPU is  950m 2GB

2. has i5-6300HQ and GPU is 950 4GB.

 

Which one to pick???

modern hyper threaded quad cores are fast enough for laptop usage. And in case you are gaming the 950m is the greater bottleneck
