Can i split usb passively?

If i had a usb cable, could i cut it and solder two usb devices to it, or solder two devices to this

You can split the power passively as long as you can guarantee the combined power draw is within specifiaction of a single port.

As you only have one differencial data line you can split it and only comunicate with one device.

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil

Ah, I need to split data as well.

Working on making a keyboard, and having a split design makes it difficult. Ill just get a small usb hub type thing
