Games not working with SLI

So, I got a second 980, and when I have SLI enabled I can't play any game.

 

Power supply is a 1050 Watt, so it can't be lack of power, I've had the new 980 under load and it works fine.

And when I tried to launch 3DMark, my PC just up and froze.

 

I've updated my drivers, and turned around the SLI cable. Anyone have any ideas as to why it's not working?

 

Games I've tested:

CS:GO

Rainbow Six: Siege

3DMark

 

Minecraft worked but I'm assuming that's just because it's not a fullscreen game.

Try different slots on the motherboard.

I feel for everyone else sometimes. I've had basically a flawless trip with sli thus far. Put the second card in (didn't even bother trying it separately) and just started overclocking... My only complaint is that every driver update disables SLI until I re-enable it. Kinda annoying.

Stupid question, Have you tried a different SLI bridge? The bridge itself may be stuffed.

Crimson fixed the PC freaking out every time you enabled and disabled crossfire, you can actually set it for each game so it automatically changes profile. There just aren't any profiles for the games I play lol. Why the two companies don't offer better support for milti GPU configurations is beyond me.

Update:

 

After a COMPLETE reinstall of my drivers (uninstalled in safe mod, and used DDU) I have gotten the complete fullscreen game to show up, however it's flashing black. It's flashing black so fast that it just looks faded.

 

Update 2:

 

Flipped SLI bridge, back to only part of a screen. Going to see if I can find another SLI cable.

Yea... I bought a separate premium SLI bridge. It seems like lots of people have issues with the mobo included ones.

Yeah, just regular Firestrike. 4790K @ 4.7GHz.

Still a great score. With some tuning you should be able to break into the 20's easy.

Need better cooling for my CPU. H80i isn't cutting it anymore, going for an EK Predator 240.

I freaking love my H105. The fans it comes with are shit but the cooler is awesome for the money.

I can't disrecommend the Predator enough...

 

Get something like the LEPA Auqachanger 240, buy good fans for it (Vardar or Venturi HP-12) and then enjoy your just as good thermals and acoustics while saving yourself 100 dollars.

80 Dollars is actually quite a bit for this product, it isn't unusual to see it hovering right around the 50-60 dollar mark.

It's insanely overpriced...

Look all of the Corsair, Lepa, Enermax, nzxt, etc all use Asetek pumps so there isn't any real difference between them using the same fans.

Reliability or performance...

Yes they could use different radiatior fpi and thickness, but the variation is quite small.

Actually x61 for the win cause 140mm fans are the bestest. But I understand peasant cases don't fit them. (Hahaha lol)

Would an H100i GTX be fine? I just need something better than this H80i, because it's not handling the temps that my CPU is putting out. (I got the short stick, and my CPU voltage is pretty high by default)

Any 240mm would be fine, but no matter what you get you will want to replace the fans. Hence why I'd recommend the LEPA model.

How does it compare to H110?

H110i gtx>h110i gt> h100i gtx>h105>h110>h100.

 

Obviously stock fans.

 

Aftermarket fans the 280mm models wipe the floor with the 240s.
