NZXT H440 NE

Bought a CM MasterCase Pro 5 on black friday, sadly im gonna have to return it and get my money back due to a defective side panel. The MasterCase is out of stock for a while and gotta admit im a bit tired of the lackluster CM quality control. Wrote their customer support asking if there were anything to do about the side panel last week, yet i havent heard a peep yet.

 

Been looking at the H440 instead and noticed that there is a New Edition or Next Generation, but for some reason there seems to be very little info on it, this should be the list of updates on it:

 

Upgraded features of the New Edition vs. previous H440:

• Increased height and depth with re-designed ventilation for better airflow

• PWM fan hub

• 8 x SSD storage

• HDD trays re-designed to support top and bottom mounted drives

• Tinted black window for the Matte black/black version

• Closed Panel version for the Matte black

• Newly upgraded scratch resistant paint

 

Wondering if anyone have the new version and could help me figure out how improved the airflow is, pretty much the only reason i didnt go for the old version, seems like the airflow was pretty damn bad.

The old H440 has metal bars on the front intake that blocked airflow.  They havce been removed on the new one.  The airflow wasn't nearly as bad as advertised.  The stock Fn V2 fans do a pretty good job of moving the air through the case.  They sound like jet engines though.

Looks pretty good, might just go for this instead, quite a bit more expensive compared the the 110$ i got the MasterCase for

Very true, the matte red and black one is gonna match nice with my mostly red and black MSI hardware.

Just like my build!  Kinda like the looks of the red bars more imo.
