i'm pretty sure that intel xtu has not been effective in terms of determining if my overclock is stable or not. after passing a full 8 hour intel xtu cpu stress test, i still receive errors when i use my pc with my overclocked settings (blue screens) WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR etc

i think i need to try another stress test for my i5-4670k

which would you recommend?

i get that a lot. my 4690k will be stable at 4.8ghz for 3 days and a 24h stress test then randomly i would get a freeze or a blue screen.

does aida64 over-volt the cpu if you leave it on adaptive?

It didn't for me.

Adia64 doesn't cause any overvoltage problems on adaptive, but in general stress testing and validation is an on going thing where if you run your PC for a week non stop but it randomly blue screens one time it's considered still not stable.

I find with XTU that is does tend not to fully utilize the CPU, move on to aida64

what BSOD screen code are you getting?

memory management

and

whea_uncorrectable_error

i know it's the cpu that's causing this because i've been using optimized default settings on the cpu and bios for a week now and i'm getting no errors
