Hi forum,

I wanted to jump back into Witcher 3 after Heart of Stone got released. I have two 980ti's in SLI and the performance is worrying. I know that the witcher 3 is one of the best optimized games out there and I can distintively remember than when I had two 970s in SLI it was maxing them at 90% average for both. When I set sli for the 980ti's however, they seem to stay around 50% all the time. On a single card I get 99% usage. Things I've tried:

-PCIE power options

-Turning off vsync

-Setting SLI to max performance

Halp. I have a 144hz monitor.

I assume your fps isn't good as well? Try disabling SLI and run the game on one card, should also be plenty to run it well

Thanks for the input but I have two cards for a reason. To run it at minimum 100FPS.

i'm not too sure about it but could it be your i7-4820k?

Even Jayz from JayzTwoCents said that he believes his i7-5960x bottlenecked his 3 way Titan X setup.

So that's my best guess.

>bottleneck

Pls. The game barely uses 50% CPU.

i don't have Witcher 3 to test with but from my experience when the GPU usage isn't maxed out it tends to be the CPU's fault.

I Could be totally wrong though, like i said it is my guess.

Does the 50% GPU usage thing happens on other games like maybe GTA V?

And have you tried running the game on the dual 980 ti on another system?
