STX vs. STX II

I wonder if the difference between these two cards is worth it to get the STX II (non-7.1) for the extra money.

 

I have a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-AG1 2.1 headphones, I spend most of my time watching videos / movies as well as playing games such as Crysis 3, Witcher 3, Total war as well as CS GO.

 

I appreciate good sound though I would not consider myself and Audiophile.

 

Any support is appreciated though please don't tell me to go with onboard sound or the DAC amp that comes with. Neither of them work lol.
