Battlefield 4 Language

So, I'm wondering.  Are we gonna have the same deal with language in battlefield 4 that we did with bf3?  My understanding as told to me by one of my friends who was in the beta was that you could turn off language at least in multiplayer so you didn't have to deal with constant f bombs and such.  Apparently EA took out that feature post beta and used this reasoning.  

 

If you're old enough to be shooting up bad guys and blowing stuff up, then you're old enough to hear a bit of bad language. Grow up.

 

So I'm wondering, are we going to have the same thing happen with bf4?  Are people asking if the language can be removed from the game? does anybody else on the forum even care about this topic?  I for one don't swear and I would prefer to keep such words out of my normal speaking vocabulary but I also like bf so why can't I play without the swearing...c'mon EA

Fair enough.  I wouldn't mind seeing that feature implemented.

Wow I really don't get why this is such a big deal to people. It's a combination of characters designed to enhance a statement, that's all it is. It's not the devils work. And if you're really that affected by it that it will subconsciously make you swear in daily speech, I would be much more worried about being affected by the violence.

Hey to each his own.  Personally it doesn't bother me either, but if he doesnt want to hear bad language on his end then it shouldn't affect our experience.

There are audio settings for a reason. Turn off voices.

You cannot really compare swearing to violence. There is a pretty large degree of difference between the two and the decisions that lead to them. 

Pretending to be a soldier and shoot people is removed enough from your actual reality that I doubt it would have a lasting effect on your decision making.

bf3 was fairly good before humble bundle now every codturd now plays bf3 and they cry all the time

I know they don't, but what if I'm willing to sacrifice immersion for that.  It's a simple enough feature to add.

You should definitely be able to.

After looking at the BF3 Audio settings again, it only lists a Master volume (which I think is an oversight by DICE, to say the least), but there is also the option of changing the voiceover's language. 

Then you will not, effectively, hear the curse words. My bad. I am used to modern games having voice audio options. 

Apparently DICE is not up to snuff in this regard.

Isn't age rating just for that? What I don't understant is why they have option to choose only english for audio track. It takes away bit of fun if russians shout in american english. If someone can't take language they shouldn't play k16 games. Or k18. I mean do they start crying when somebody curses on street?

Immersion or not I think you should get over it. That language is used everywhere, I can't see how you can even manage to avoid it in your day-to-day life. Swearing plays a strong role in my vocabulary but I can refrain from using whenever I want. If you don't want to swear, don't. I highly doubt hearing a solider in a video-game saying "We got a big fucker inbound, over" is going to influence your use of the language, and if it does you have little self control.

 

May I ask why it is you avoid the use of language like this so much?

 

You must avoid watching a lot of good movies, and miss out on a lot of good games because you're so immature that you can't handle someone using a profanity. You're oversensitive, stop being oversensitive. 

 

EDIT: Also you might want to turn of chat, and never add anyone from in-game on Origin, also never use public voice-chat in any game ever. In-fact you should just avoid contact with other humans online all together.

Switch it to another language... You wont even know they're swearing...  If your not willing to do something that has swearing in it... ITs kinda impossible to avoid swearing these days.. ESPACILY on the internet. not trying to be mean, just being honest.
