Choosing a CPU

Hi i've got a MSI GTX 970 and i've got an AMD A8-6600K and I noticed that my games are lagging even at low. e.g. Farcry 4 and Borderlands 2 no PHYSX and a friend of mine told me that he thinks my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU. Bassically what i'm trying to say is I would like it if you guys could give me some recommendations for some CPU's that support the FM2+ Socket that won't bottleneck my GPU. If there aren't any, recommend me some intel CPU's and Motherboards that support SLI with no overclockable features if possible. Thank you.

Nothing will save you, you wont be able to get anything good enough in that socket.

the 7850k isnt too expensivea and im pretty sure thats the best processor for that socket

why no overclocking?

Sadly reasons involved with someone who helped me set up the PC. He isn't keen on the idea of Overclocking. But if its the only way to get SLI support then that will be worth it.

To be fair I don't think he even knows that my motherboard supports overclocking which I know it does
