Hey, So i got my new HyperX Cloud II Headset, sadly at the very beginning i noticed that there is some issues with humming/buzzing both with audio and microphone - after few searching i managed to fix the audio buzzing by upgrading the firmware of the usb.

Now i'm stuck with the Mic Buzzing, basically there is some buzzing crackling sound in the background when i'm using "listen to this device" of the HyperX Cloud II Microphone .

I did figure out it it something with ground loop, basically when touching my PC case the buzzing stops but i am looking for more realistic way to fix it, i tried to make a copper wire from the PC back-case screws to some metal piece but sadly it did not help, maybe i'm doing something wrong.

Just to notice, i did check my power outlet, there is 3 holes which means it's suppose to be grounded...

Thanks in advance for any help

From some online research, if you're lucky turning the plug the other way around may fix the problem.

Not possible since power outlet has 3 holes only including the plug itself..so i don't really see how you manage to do that lol :D

is your pc in a grounded outlet?

Yeah, It is

Ah different country, my bad :P But it's most likely a grounding problem indeed.

EDIT: Power cable fully plugged in?(the one on the back of the case)

EDIT 2: Tried switching power cables, checked hd-audio plug on MoBo?

Just to remove more variables, tried a different power outlet in your house? tried removing as many signal broadcasting devices as possible? What PSU do you have?

I did figured out HDMI cable did make some buzzing but still even after unplugging it there is small buzzing in the background that is noticeable, I will try different outlet since it's built very weird :(

Also, can you name  signal broadcasting devices? do you mean like wifi ?

My PSU is antec tp-750c

no such option on the 7.1 of Hyperx Cloud II

It will be if you install some realtek audio drivers ;) I basically have the same headset, the Qpad qh-85, with realtek drivers installed.

EDIT: I have a little noise as well, but with echo cancelation+ noise cancelation in apps it's almost non-existent (Good enough at this price range).

As i said i'm using the 7.1 sound card that comes with it, which is USB only.

Also wanted to ask, if i would like to use the headphones without the 7.1 USB sound card built, how do i make it work, it has only 3.5mm jack...do i need to buy some split device for the audio and microphone ?

I don't know how bad it is, maybe you could try to find a 3rd party app to reduce echo?

I did manage to reduce it to minimal with Adobe Audition, but still i wonder what may cause it :(

Coming from Tom's Guide forum, you can contact Kingston if you want them to provide you a firmware update ( rev 0005 ) file via email. Or you can simply download it from Kingston unofficially ( legit update, but not released to public yet ever since firmware revision 0003 ). This firmware fix most of the humming, buzzing, static, hissing, crackling and popping issues. Follow the guide in the zip file and you're good to go.

take note that this firmware update will remove the usb audio interface volume up and down beep sound.

I'll keep following any news and probably contacting Kingston to ask them about the beep sound.
