Hi,

I have had a problem a few times with that my PC don't turn on when I press the power on bottom, mostly when It have not been turned on for a day or two.

Not quite sure why this happen but when it do, I always go behind and turn the PSU off and on and then it works. Is it the motherboards fault? The connectors? I have tried to unplug and plug the front connectors in again (start, restart hdd light etc) and it's plugged in correctly, the computer gets power as my motherboard has a green led light that says it got power. So I been thinking, hey, maybe it's the PSU! So I changed it out, for a tier 1 and still same problem, then It came to question, "hmm... maybe the old HDD is defect!" so I got myself a M.2 drive. Still same problem after a longer time of not power it on. So I thought, hey, maybe the connectors on the front is broken, I removed the front panel over night and then pressed the "real" power on. Still same problem. When I press it the first time, nothing happens, no fans no nothing, if I press it again (maybe I didn't really PRESS it) it still don't work, so it's clearly ON but nothing happens.

So my question now goes, can it be the motherboard itself? It basically always happens after a longer turn off and always only once.

OR

Can it be that I must turn the PSU off at night?

Thanks!

i had this problem too when i was originally building my PC,except that mine would not turn on at all even though there were LEDs on my motherboard that were on.

The problem for me ended up being a corrupt BIOs chip on the motherboard, but for your case i wouldn't be too sure because it can still turn on.
