I know nothing about home appliances.

 

i needed a AC for a room so i ordered one of these

is the brand reliable?

 

 

i know absolutley nothing. The only appliance company I know is LG and Samsung.

Yeah, you made a good choice there. Though, I'm curious, why a portable unit versus a window unit?

no clue on how to install a window unit lol

Well, it's really simple to install it, just open the window, adjust the mount and shut the window on it, all done.

Eh sometimes you have to add cardboard to plug holes if you are in an apartment and there is an air conditioner sleeve.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Same here, I have no idea but you'll have a warranty right, you should be fine.

For that price, thats a good brand, others are Luxaire and New air. They are a little bit more money (about $400) but they are VERY good units.

Current Rig as of 7/30/13

 A10-6800k, Asrock Extreme 6, 16GB Kingston Hyper X 2133Mhz RAM, Asus 2GB 7770, OCZ vertex 4 128GB SSD, 2TB Barracuda HDD, Rosewill Hive 750 watt supply, and CM Storm Trooper case.

Are portable AC's any good for a single room? I read on a youtube comment(i know, best reliable source) that a portable AC can't cool a room.
