GTX 580 £55 & GTX 660TI £88?

LokiFire

Been looking round a lot more for a GPU and found a 580 & 660TI that are below my £100 budget.

As upgrades over my shit 7770 of course.

I believe the 660ti is more powerful than the 580. And draws less power to boot.

Given the price difference I'd go for the 580, the 660ti is just barely faster.

Might go a bit doolally and buy the 5970, 4850x2, GTX 480 & 6990.

Still under £200 spent lol and won't have to worry about no CSGO when my GPU dies.

If I'm honest the Fermi cards are really tempting not just because of the price but the large performance for the money too.

BARELY faster.  Also takes quite a bit more power.

Concerning heat and noise, the 670 and 7950 are as equal as anything will ever be.

So are most high end cards of their gen, the 580 just uses a lot of power.

480 is the uncontested king of ovens

5870 disagrees

The 5870 and 580 weren't even the same generation...

Still TeraScale vs Fermi

Considering the huge performance difference.... Considering it took TWO 5870's to match/beat a 580... That being the 5970.

Well, the 580 is quite a bit better than a 480 so yeah. 6970 was better than a 570 but 580 was king
