OBS Setup Help

Hello! I'm trying to use OBS to record gameplay footage for youtube, but my recordings are really laggy. I used to have an issue where everything was pixelated, so I increased the bitrate to 8000. When I play GTA V, the recording ends up super laggy, with giant frame drops, but my in game experience is identical. I'm using game capture, and my specs are as follows:

Intel i5-4460 3.2 GHz CPU

MSI R9 390 GPU

HyperX Fury 2x4gb 1600MHz RAM

MSI H97 PC MATE MOBO

EVGA supernova 750w B2 PSU

Seagate barricuda 1tb 7200rpm HDD

SanDisk 256gb SSD

This seems extremely complicated! Is there any program that I can use to record my voice, my game, and a skype call all at once with?

I was told to use this (https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-branch-with-amd-vce-support.13996/) version of OBS to increase my performance with an AMD GPU. My recordings had intolerable frame drops, even though my system shouldn't have trouble with the games. When I install it, it says (string not found) instead of EVERY button. I asked him whether my GPU is compatible with what ever this version of OBS is, because it didn't list the R9 390 on the compatible cards list, and he never responded. Please help! I need to record some gameplay tonight. Also, if this type of problem will be a regular thing with OBS, could someone recommend an easy to use, and free recording program, that can record a game, my voice, and my computer's output audio all at the same time? Thanks!
