Hey Guys,

I am looking to get my first mechanical keyboard for Christmas.

I am not sure about the type of key switches as I have never used a mechanical keyboard before. I know that I want a RGB keyboard so that narrows down the options a bit :P

My budget is around £100 (UK moneys) but I am willing to spend up to £150. What would you guys suggest in terms of switches and keyboard? I think I like switches that produce some noise feedback and quite a light activation.

Suggestions would be nice? :)

Thanks,

James

I have a Corsair K70 RGB with Cherry MX Brown switches, they're kind of a middle ground between typing and gaming switches. They have a some feedback and a light activation.

As far as the keyboard to get it's more up to personal preference. Most RGB keyboards cost around £150

Here are some good options: K70 RGB, Logitech G910, Ducky Shine 4, there's also the Razer Blackwidow Chroma but the build quality isn't great.

CPU: 6600K @ 4.6Ghz | COOLER: H100i GTX | MOBO: Asus Z170 AR | GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 Ti Hybrid | RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB |

CASE: Corsair 760T | PSU: Corsair RM750x | STORAGE: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB & Seagate 2TB | KEYBOARD: K70 RGB | MOUSE: Deathadder Elite

I cannot find any results for Ducky Shine 4 on Amazon but found a ducky shine 5. Is there any difference? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ducky-Channel-Mechanical-Keyboard-Lighting/dp/B018LVLICS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1449264119&sr=8-2&keywords=Ducky+Shine+4+rgb
