The SSD isn't the best and the processor cooler is more of a show item. The Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 is what I'd use if I wanted an high end air cooler.

You are spending a load on RAM and the power supply. A 650W unit is more than enough and 850W is enough for SLI, and 3600Mhz ram is just a bragging right at best.

Don't get the titan X, the 980ti performs the same for 350 dollars less.

The socket on the CPU is "S-1151" are you sure it will fit? (noticed that the one i posted might not) Do you think "Be Quiet Pure Rock" would work?

I'm sure that 1151 has the same mounting holes as 1150, so any cooler that is compatible with 1150 will work.

I suggest you try to run that through pc partpicker if you are concerned about compatibility of parts.

The titan x is overkill. Would sooner have dual 980ti. The ram, that ddr3? Skylake is ddr4 compatible. Still pricier it may be, but skylake is dropping the prices of ddr4 ram.

This build is overkill and most of the parts here are unnecessary. There is no need for a Titan X. You will be wasting money on it as you don't need it. If you want to game on 4k, get the 980ti or r9 390x instead. If you are gaming on 1080p/1440p, get the GTX 970, 980 or the r9 380x and the 390. If you are using this rig purely for gaming, an i5 6600k or 4690k will be good enough, i5s are solid gaming processors. 8gb if ram is more than enough for gaming so I suggest you get 8gb instead. However, if you are editing with this rig then stick to the current cpu and ram. A 1200 watt psu is overkill and its for running multiple gpus. You don't need one and it will draw more power from your wall. Get the RM or RMi 750 watt psu instead.

i5 4690k | MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G | Swiftech H240-X | MSI Z97s SLI Krait Edition | Corsair Vengeance Pro 8gb ( 2x4gb ) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 850EVO 250gb SSD & WD Caviar Blue 1tb HDD | Fractal Design Define R5
